NEA President Dennis Van Roekel joined the XM Radio’s POTUS program to call on the presidential candidates make modern classrooms and access to technology a national priority. He also addressed questions on charter schools, DC schools, and other education issues.
NEA President Dennis Van Roekel joined Air America's progressive Thom Hartmann Show for its labor segment prior to the Oct. 15 presidential debate on domestic policy. Van Roekel underscored the need for a complete overhaul of NCLB and the importance of creating a partnership between federal and state governments for education.
